Hello Ranadeep,

Yes, you may apply for GATE while having backlogs. There is no such thing of rejection of your registeration because of your backlogs. But yeah, if you score well good and get to admission in M.tech, you just need to clear all your backlogs before getting admisssion in any Institute or IITs and NITs.
