To become a student counselor in school, aspirant must have a bachelor's and master's degree in the related field (may differ from school to school). The degree should be in the following fields- psychology, counseling, or a related subject.

Complete internship in counseling under a recognised program.

Pass the exam as per your State's demand.

Apply for a counselors license.

(Some schools may ask for experience as a counselor)
