This is not uncommon while paying fees using online transactions as most of the time due to heavy trafficking it takes time for the money deducted to reach the destination. I am sure it mst be processing right now. I suggest you to wait for atleast two days. If the payment status does not change you can visit the nearest branch of the bank and ask them about the transaction (they wil refund it if needed).  You may also reach out to VIT helpline at 91-416-2243091 / 93  (vellore) or  044 3993 1555  (chennai). Hello, Kindly check whether the gateway says successful transaction or processing. If it in processing stage kindly wait for some time. You can try contacting the admission office using this link https://vit.ac.in/contactus . Also take a Xerox proof of your passbook or e- transaction details  that the money has been deducted. Ask the admission office when you can try making payment again if the payment is stuck.
