To pursue Medical coding, the individual must have a bachelor's degree or master's degree, preferably from life science background. Graduate from any field can apply for the medical coding course but if you have the life science background in your graduation then it will be helpful and easier for you to pursue this course.

One must also have the analytical ability to read and analyse medical records and patient details by using the right codes for the billing procedure.
