hello sir, my family income in my ews certificate is 3-4 lakh , 80% of it is my elder brother income who is 27 years old. and we have only 1 family id, since ilhe is still a bachelor. now i want to get fee remission for nit 100%( given to those whose family income less than 1 lakh). so what should i

You're not eligible for 100% fee remission at NIT because your EWS certificate shows 3–4 lakh income (limit is 1 lakh). Since your brother (unmarried) is on the same family ID, his income is counted .

  1. Try getting a new EWS certificate showing only parents’ income

  2. Visit Tehsildar office to explain your case.

  3. You can still get 2/3 fee waiver (for income < 5 lakh).
