JEE mains correction can be done from 13th March to 17th March 2020. Every change can be done in the application form but only the exam cities can't be changed. You can change your catagory to EWS category in the correction form for JEE Mains. Correction Window for JEE mains provide every change accept exam cities. There is no problem in changing new category from general to EWS.

Hello student yes you can change your category from Genral to ews as jee main correction window allow applicants to change their categories through correction window also be provided to the candidates. If the candidates change their category from general to reserved, then no refund of fees will be done.
Application for jee main April examination starts from 07th of February and extended till 12th of March 2020.
