Hi pavan,  the moment you say that you have better knowledge to answer a question,  you are pushing yourself to the pit of negative marking. Don't let this tendency get the better of you. Only mark questions which you are very very sure of. Sometimes you might know the answer, you have read it somewhere but still you are not sure of the answer then do not mark the answer,  mark such questions for review. Such questions are traps to either waste your time or get you the wrong answer. Remember, every negative marks leads to you being pushed down the ranks by at least 100-300 which is very vital when it comes out admissions. So be very careful, one thing to overcome such problems is to not mark the answers of such questions and mark them for review. You will come to know of such questions as soon as you read them. You might feel that you know the answer,  but still if not sure move ahead.. Mark it for review and first solve all the questions you know. Then after a satisfactory attempt come back to these questions. This is the only way you can tackle this problem. Sometimes the greed of more marks could push you down the ranks easily. Be careful. All the best

Hello Pavan!

A little bit of stress before exams is good, because it makes the student work harder. But too much of stress is going to affect your concentration and and thinking ability, ultimately affecting your exam. SO DON'T GET TOO NERVOUS.

Yes, NEET is a difficult exam and the negative marking process makes it even more difficult. But you need to remember that is difficult, and not impossible. There have been many candidates before you, who have went through this level of difficulty and cleared the exam with wonderful scores.

Talking about the negative marking process, there are various ways to avoid it:

1.) Read the question carefully.

2.) Read all the four options. Don't rush once you find the correct option. Take a look at the other options too. It might be a tricky question.

3.) Be careful while marking in your OMR Sheet.

4.) Only attempt questions you are sure about. Don't make wild guesses.

Hope this helps!

Hello Pavan,

If you feel doubt for any question that it may get you negative marks then you are not sure of the answer at all. In that case, what you can do is make some calculated guesses and eliminate some of the options. After this, it is highly probable that you will get your answer, if not then leave the question. You should know when to leave a question and when to go for calculated risks. This you should practice while giving mock tests and analyze your strategy thereafter.

All the best.
