So there are actually four branches biological chemical geological geophysical these are the major research area you may have to go..  the eligibility for doing this is you need to be a graduate or post graduate.. as you have mentioned the course you have done it in ece you can go into the branch of area of marine instrument if you have keen intrest in doing oceanography 

I have further you told I'm computer science & Engineering student...and I m not gonna join course ...I'm just talking about internship..If you are not be able to solve just leave that question ...
