According to your rank you are not eligible for the cse department either in Vellore or Chennai .you rank should be below 6k .

But don't worry if you are come from a rich family you can get admission in this rank too.make sure your parents donate sufficient amount for you.but if you came from a midst class family then getting cse in this rank is not possible .hope this will helpful.good luck.

According to the analysis previous two years of closing ranks are as follows,

• VIT Vellore - Computer Science and Engineering - 7000 (2016) - 15000 (2017)
• VIT Chennai - Computer Science and Engineering - 14000 (2016) - 33000 (2017)

The analysis for this year may be different but most probably I think you will be able to get a seat in VIT.
