Hello!

Yes, analytical chemistry is offered both as a specialisation in MSc Chemistry and as a separate diploma/PG diploma course. The course is available in several universities like Mumbai University, Pune University, IISc Bangalore, and private institutions.

For admission through CET, the required marks depend on the state and the university. Generally, for MSc Analytical Chemistry, you need:

  • General Category: 50–55% in qualifying exam and 60–70 percentile in CET.
  • Reserved Category: 40–45% in qualifying exam and 50–55 percentile in CET.

Entrance exam questions focus heavily on analytical techniques, spectroscopy, and quantitative analysis.

Thank you, and good luck!
