see generally biotechnology is a research oriented field, so if you want to work in core sectors you have to do higher study like m.sc / m.tech to work as a scientist / application engineer. biotech has wide scope in future, but in India few opportunities available.

my suggestion is try to take admission in top colleges like iits, nits where placement record is good. since biotechnology is emerging field , work opportunity for tier 1 company is difficult unless you graduated from a reputed institute. so be sincere for your studies and prepare for the entrances.
