Hello,
You can apply for JoSAA counselling. JoSAA conducts counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs based on JEE Mains score. They prepare a separate rank list based on merit involving only those who applied for JoSAA. And seat allocation occurs with the help of this rank list. If you are satisfied with the college that you get through seat allocation, you can join. Else you can prepare and give a try for January 2020 or April 2020 session. You can check the previous year opening and closing ranks of JoSAA for various courses in different institutes at https://josaa.nic.in/webinfocms/Public/View.aspx?page=71. Consider this while you choose to apply for choice filling in JoSAA.
Hi NITISH; I am pursuing my Btech degree in IT from NIT Surathkal. It solely depends on you about your choice; If you think that you have enough potential and you will be able to do hardwork for next one year with full concentration then go for it . From my point of view, you can take drop .It will be beneficial to you if study hard .I have seen many friends who took drop ,and got good result this year. But partial drop is not so beneficial.Good luck!!!!
