In JEE Mains, the OBC reservation is given to the castes that belong to the central list of OBC by NCBC. So, if you want to know whether your son can claim OBC resrvation, just check whether your caste is in the OBC list of NCBC. And, inorder to get reservation, you should belong to Non-Creamy Layer category, ie. annual income should be less than 8 lakhs.

(You can get the list from NCBC website or from the village office or any other conerned authority. I'm not leaving the link here, as the link that I've is not working when I checked it now. Sorry for the inconvenience.)
