BE/BTech is for students aspiring for bachelor's degree in engineering. They will have to appear for Jee  mains paper 1. The paper 1 will comprise of mcqs from physics, chemistry and maths.
B.Arch/B.planning is for students aspiring for bachelor's degree in architecture or planning. They will have to appear for Jee mains paper 2. The syllabus will comprise of mathematics, aptitude and drawing.

So a student can either appear for paper 1 or paper 2 or both.

If you want to go for engineering then you will have to good at maths, physics and chemistry. For batch or bplanning it has different syllabus along with above like drawings.
So ask yourself what you want to do. Both have high scope so there is nothing to hesitate. Just ask yourself in which domain you are interested and do that. Prepare accordingly.
