Based on 2017 cut off marks I don't think so you will get Mechatronics Engineering because the last year cut off marks for SC category was 178.25 but if you belong to Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars) then you will get Mechatronics in Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai because the cut off was 171 and as per your category cut-offs you have only two choices either Information Technology or Mechatronics. Mechatronics is a very good and emerging branch of engineering and opens a plethora of opportunities in the coming years. If you are getting this branch under your reservation category then I will suggest you to must go for Mechatronics Engineering.
