With a Tamil Nadu state rank of 5690 (OBC, non-service) , getting MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBG) in government medical colleges under state quota is very unlikely .

OBG is a highly preferred clinical branch. In Tamil Nadu, most government seats are taken by service candidates and high-rank holders . Non-service candidates usually need a much better rank to get OBG in government colleges .

You can still:
• Attend state counselling
• Try for private medical colleges under government quota
• Keep backup options like other branches or diploma courses.
