To be able to get admission in PSU's, you will have two ways - either you can apply through GATE (Graduate Aptitute Test in Engineering), an entrance exam at post graduation level or choose to apply directly to PSU's.

Most of the PSU's have an eligibility criteria of having 60% or more marks in the qualifying exam, whereas, BHEL is an exception which do not specify any such eligibility regarding qualifying marks.

You can refer to BHEL's website (as given below) and also check other PSU's who have less percentage as qualifying exam criteria.
