 Coming to the point,  Branch rank 186 is not a low rank. If you are in the same branch in diploma as well you can get the seat in computers science in btech. Changing the course is not at all good thing. So, you can get easily seat for 186 branch rank in any top college in your own state itself..

just make sure that you opt the good top colleges in you lacality and you will be getting the seat on the merit basis.
