With 336 marks in NEET under the OBC category, it's unlikely to secure a government MBBS seat in India, especially in competitive colleges. While the minimum qualifying score for OBC candidates is 113, government medical colleges generally require significantly higher scores. Private colleges might be a more realistic option.

Hello Sir,
With a NEET score of 336 and belonging to the OBC category, the chances of getting a government MBBS seat through the All India Quota (15%) are very low, as the cutoff for OBC is usually much higher (over 550+ in recent years). However, under the State Quota (85%), chances may depend on the state your daughter belongs to. Some states with lower cutoff trends for reserved categories—like in certain Northeastern states or less competitive regions—may offer limited chances in later counselling rounds or under special categories.

It is advisable to explore BDS, AYUSH (BAMS, BHMS) courses, or private MBBS colleges under government quota seats, where the cutoff is relatively lower. Please also consider state-specific counselling as it offers better chances than AIQ.

Hello sir,

Because the cutoff scores for government colleges under the all India quota are often higher, it may be challenging for your daughter to acquired a government MBBS seat ab based on her NEET score of 336 and her OBC category. However, because each state has distinct cut offs, reservation rules, and medical seat availability, admission prospects under the state quota very by State of residency.

If she is not enrolled in a government college for MBBS, she may making about:

  • Private colleges
  • Deemed Universities
  • BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, or B.Sc. Nursing in reputed government or private institutes.

I  advise participating in both all India and state counselling, including mop - up rounds.
