For PCB students, there are various career options. You can choose from following list :-

1. Medical Professionals - After 12th, you can choose to be a doctor. It is a noble profession and they earn handsomely.

The courses you need to do are -

*MBBS - General Physician,

* BDS - Dental Surgeon

* BAMS - Ayurvedic Doctor

* BHMS - Homeopathic Doctor

After then, specialization in your field would be an added advantage.

2. IAS/IPS/IFS/IRS - After completing 12th, you can opt for graduation while you start preparing for these tough civil services exams. These are respectable jobs with best salary.

There is not a particular course for this. You can do graduation with your preferred subjects and start preparation through best study materials.

3. Horticulturist - This is a profession, where you grow ornamental plants, fruits and nuts. It is done in enclosed gardens at small scale. It incorporates both the science and the aesthetics of plants.

The courses available for this field are -

* Bachelor's degree in Horticulture

* BSc in Agricultural science

* Diploma in Commercial Horticulture

4. Genetics - It is a new field with immense scope in India. It includes the study of genes, genetic variation and heredity of living organisms. You can work as Forensic Data Analyst, Cytogeneticist, Medical Technologist, Genetic Counselor.

The courses are -

* BSc (Hons) in Genetics

* BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences

* BSc (Hons) in Life Sciences

5. Biotechnology - Another new emerging career in Science stream with various job options and best salary. It is a combination of Biology and Technology.

The courses are -

* B.E. or B.tech in Biotechnology

* Diploma in Biotechnology

* BSc in Biotechnology

* B.E or B.tech in Industrial Microbiology
