Dear Soumya Most of the job prospects for forensic scientists are in government sector, particularly in various law enforcement agencies such as police, legal system, the investigative services of the central government and state governments. However, some private agencies too offer job opportunities to those who have some qualification in the field.On an average, starting salary could be anywhere between 50-70K INR per month. In case of a Government job, the salary will be as per the pay scale and grade. Abroad, the salary is much higher than what it is in India.
