Hello,

The eligibility criteria for BARC recruitment through academic programs for Physics discipline is that a candidate must have passed B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics or 5-year integrated M.Sc,or B.E. /B.Tech. in Engineering Physics or M.Sc in  in Physics/Applied Physics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree from a recognized board or University. M. Sc. candidates (other than those applying with a 5-year integrated M.Sc. degree) must additionally have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. Physics postgraduate the selection is based on merit in GATE 2020 or GATE 2021 in ‘Physics’ discipline. Candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech. (Engineering Physics) can apply on the basis of a valid GATE-2020 or GATE-2021Score either in ‘Physics’ or in ‘Engineering Sciences’ paper.

Considering the eligibility criteria you need to score minimum 60% overall aggregate marks (in all semesters/years taken together) in the qualifying exam. Marks scored in individual subject is not considered.
