How are seats alloted in engineering colleges? How does seat matrix work?

Hello Aspirant,

Eligibility to get admission in an engineering college after 12th:

  • The student must have passed the 12th exams.
  • The minimum percentage accepted by colleges is 50% in 12th exams.
  • The student must have studied the subjects of maths, physics, and chemistry in the 11th and 12th standard.

Also, the student need to crack JEE mains exam for the seat allotment in engineering colleges as most of the engineering colleges in India are accepting the JEE mains score for admission into their colleges. For prestigious universities like Indian Institute of Technology, students have to crack JEE advance also to take admission into them.
