if we consider a three dimensional Cartesian system say x,y,z then x, y, z can be related to the r, theta and phi in spherical coordinates are:

x=rsin(theta)cos(phi)

y=rsin(theta)sin(phi)

z=rcos(theta)

Here, r is the radius or the radial component, theta is the radial angle & phi is the cross radial component.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
