Military engineering is an engineering courses taught in the schools of Military Engineering that deals with the maintenance and operation of vehicles, vessels, aircraft, weapon systems and equipment. The engineer is required to have engineer intelligence, skills in force protection and military search.

The College of Military Engineering (abbreviated as CME), located in Dapodi,Pune,  began and was well established in the year 1943. It is considered to be one of the most significant  technical training institution of the Indian Army Corps of Engineering  The college is affiliated to JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) for B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) and M.Tech (Master of Technology) degrees. All the courses are recognized by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).  Under B.Tech, there are three available courses: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

The Eligibility for B.Tech is that you should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Maths and Chemistry subjects and have secured minimum 70% marks. The state level examination MH-CET is also considered for admission. Selection will be based on the  Jawaharlal Nehru University Engineering Entrance (JNUEEE) exam that is conducted for admission to College of Military Engineering or CME, Pune. You should appear in JNU written test in order to seek admission in CME, Pune.

Admissions are purely merit based and preference are given to excellent academic records. The admission test is mainly conducted in May-June every year.
