No, btech degree is not necessary for this. You can apply for aniit courses at NIIT. Its is a two year program. Through this course you would be able to learn al the subjects which are studied in Btech like data structure, sql , web developing. You wil study the latest technologies. So you can opt for NIIT if you dnt want to do btech

No B Tech Degree is not necessary, what is necessary if you need to know how to code. Even google higher Coders without any Professional degree, But this way is far tougher than with the degree. To become software Engineer You can Join any Engineering college with Computer Science and Engineering or any Branch work but CSE guys have an extra advantage while screening some companies may not allow other Branches.
