Department of Zoology was established in 1919 in Calcutta university. Department of zoology began its journey with D. Mukherjee  as its first student and Prof. S. Moulik as the first professor. The intake capacity for M. SC zoology in Calcutta university is 75 students. The pattern for M. SC zoology entrance exam is offline. No. of questions to be attempted are 50 multiple choice questions in 1 hour. For every correct answer 2 marks will be awarded , 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer, 0 marks for no response.  For entrance exam previous  question papers it is better to go through the University official  website and download it from there.
