You can pursue a career in the merchant navy after completing your 12th grade in the commerce stream. Students who have passed Class X or higher from a non-science background can also join the merchant navy by enrolling in the GP Rating Course. Admissions for this course are open throughout the year. This course prepares you to join the merchant navy as part of the crew.
