You can enlist in the merchant navy force course after the twelfth class from the commerce stream. Any Class X pass understudies or higher however from a non-science foundation can enlist in the Merchant Navy by selecting for the GP Rating Course. Confirmations for the GP Rating Course are finished consistently.

Each boat has officials and Seamen (simply a language), so on the off chance that you do those 3 or long-term courses, you first sail as a trainee, and afterward following 6 a year you are qualified for turning into an official.

Though when you do a GP Rating course, the position you get is Able Seamen (AB) or Ordinary Seamen (OS). According to the rules, Ab or OS requires three years before he is qualified for turning into an official.
