Biotechnology is the use of biological processes, or systems to manufacture products intended to improve the quality of human life. So, all those students who possess great passion for subjects like biology, chemistry and physical sciences, should plan to take admission in Bio- technology programmes. You need to complete 10+2 in PCM or PCB with minimum 55 percent marks to be eligible for this course. You will have to appear for State wide as well as National level admission entrance tests to get admission. BSc Biotechnology course is a 3 years long course whereas B.Tech in Biotechnology (engineering) is a 4-year course. Biotechnology has huge job possibilities as it has emerged as a science with immense potential for human welfare ranging from food processing, human health to environment protection. Biotechnology Engineering is one niche specialization which involves study of molecules and their cross domain application across various industry verticals, mostly into Medicine and Environment Science.

One can pursue Biotechnology Engineering by appearing for Jee Mains and Advanced to secure seat into top IITs with valid score in PCM and aggregate marks of 75% or more in class 12th.
