1) First you have to understand the full syllabus and know what all you need to prepare for the exam. You need to have a clear understanding of the syllabus and must be thorough on it. Then you must know which books you must follow for each section like analytical ability, mathematical ability ,etc.

2) you also need to be able to manage your time and utilize it properly. Noting is possible if you don't know how to manage your time

3) you need to make a proper stategy and set your goals straight. And set a time table and mention the day and time you want to allot for your preparation and for each topic.

4) the most important thing is practice. You must practice as much as you can. Try solving previous year question and mock test papers as much as you can.
