There is no direct entry in AMU for class 11 commerce, you have to clear the entrance test and then only you can secure a seat there. To get admission to AMU school candidates have to go through a national level entrance test. However, Foreign nationals/children of NRIs and physically challenged candidates are exempted from entrance exam

About AMU entrance test Class 11 Commerce :

The Combined Admission Test for Class XI (Science)/Diploma in Engineering and Class XI (Commerce and Arts/Humanities) of the Aligarh Muslim University AMU is conducted at 43 centres  in which about 40348 candidates were applicants for the Class XI science stream and the diploma course, while about 9672 candidates applied for the commerce and arts/humanities.

AMU also conducted this test at Srinagar, Lucknow, Meerut, Patna, Kolkata and Bareily centres.

Candidates who will obtain at least 40% marks in the admission test will be called for interview test. For the candidates who qualify written test, obtaining a minimum of 40% marks in the Interview is essential to become eligible for selection. Moreover, students need to obtain 40% in the Interview test as well.
