IIITDMs follows new academic curriculum compared to other colleges which still focuses on Conventional and Orthodox curriculum including NITs and IITs. Mechanical Engineering at IIITDMs focus much more on design aspect. So, IIITDM Kurnool has new design oriented mechanical curriculum than Sastra. IIIT Kurnool seem to be a better option from the long term perspective.

1. IIITDM Kurnool has a great faculty profile and mostly visiting faculties or faculty with a PhD from IIT Madras.
2. At IIITDM Kurnool, you get “IIIT” tag.
