All Bachelor courses are done at colleges which are under the leadership of Calcutta University.

At present there are 160 colleges affiliated to Calcutta University. Each college has it’s own administration , principle , office staff , union. They are not directly controlled by calcutta university.

So if your college does not have proper infrastructure / union problem / teachers don’t take classes , don’t bash CU. It’s the problem of your college administration and our beloved government ( which has the policy of seeing no sins ).

The second most concerned problem is calcutta university does not give marks. Well that’s what made them so good at first place.

You need to hammer the iron or heat the diamond to give it sparkles.

The above metaphor is self satisfactory. Ask yourself , will you give marks to a guy who just read 2 days before exam and write 40 marks in his paper and that too gibberish.

Well I accept sometimes students feel specially the ones who have worked hard but still with 65% , but believe me CU still has it’s name brand value.

And going by the magnitude of students to the staff ratio a little slow ( though the feeling whirls around frustration ) is acceptable.
