Your question is not clear and it is incomplete. If you are asking about IIT Semester examinations then the paper are designed according to the subjects you are having in your respective semester. Like in first year the  subjects are of Applied Science like physics, chemistry, mathematics. Also there are other subjects like Basis Electrical engineering, C-Programming, Graphics and Mechanics. So the question paper is designed according to your group.
