It is the only college that provides specialisation in Automobile as an engineering branch.

The dept will strive to provide quality education and produce highly skilled graduates and aims to emerge as a leader. Industry collaboration and establishment of industry centers of excellence will be prioritised.

In Automobile Engineering students at the time of graduation are prepared to:.

• Apply knowledge of science, math, statistics, and engineering technology to solve problems encountered in a professional career in the automotive industry.

• Design, analyse and build virtual and real models, and conduct testing in product development environments through simulation and modelling.

• Define and communicate a set of requirements for a system, component or process and develop solutions to satisfy given criteria in an optimal manner.

Established in 2012, Department of Automobile Engineering , IILM CET offers a full-time four-year engineering course, affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Our department always endeavors to teach students beyond the syllabus. This is the only reason, that instead of teaching students on charts and models, they are given hands-on experience with three-dimensional training aids. These training aids have been created in-house from various types of two and four-wheeler vehicles. Students are always encouraged to undertake projects which are futuristic.

For instance, recently automobile engineering students have designed and fabricated an electric vehicle with solar as the secondary source of charging the batteries. Now, the further effort is to make this vehicle autonomous.

IILM CET is progressing towards industrial collaborations. The aim is to train industry ready students. This is only possible when industrial houses collaborate with academia.  Syllabus for teaching will be designed in consultation with industry. Practical training for students will be held in the industry having collaboration so that they are ready to effectively perform when they join them.

IILM CET is developing an innovation center specially dedicated to the automobile industry in collaboration with leading automotive industries. The center will be fully equipped to impart training in the following areas: -

- Design and functioning of autonomous vehicles

- To design and work on Electric Vehicle Technologies with special emphasis on battery and motor technologies

- Simulation lab for designing and testing of vehicle safety features

- Design and testing facilities for conventional Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles

- Apparatus and equipment to work on alternative fuels for automotive

- Apparatus and equipment to work on the emission of vehicles

- To have Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) for designing specific machines for manufacturing of automotive components

IILM is rated 4/5 and has good reviews.  It is a 4 years duration course and comes under mechanical engineering. Eligibility criteria :- 12th passed with minimum aggregate 50% and 45% for reservation category. Physics and mathematics is compulsory subjects and in option chemistry/biology.
They also provide research work and have collaboration with good resources. They have made available of top laboratory with Advance equipments. They have autotech club and literary club for participation in workshops and seminars. This indicates they provide lot more scope for students.
Placement is good. They perform good every year. Highest placement package offered :- INR 10.00 LPA. 80% above students got placed. Improve your skills so that you get high and good career options as they select on the basis of logical and analytical skills and clear in basics.
