Dear Student ,

GO category generally  means General Open category .But GO quota is different.  Basically , NIT Goa takes admission on the basis of GO quota (a sub-quota/HS quota for GOA) through JEE MAINs rank . NIT goa reserves 40% seat for GOA candidates .

You can check previous year cut off For NIT GOA from this link;

Hope this helps !

Best wishes !!

The HS quota for NIT Goa is as follows…

  1. 40% of seats are reserved for Candidates whose Home State (state in which they have given their Class XII exams) is Goa.
  2. 10% of seats are reserved for Candidates whose Home State is UTs of Daman & Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep.
  3. If any seat is left vacant from the 10% quota of UTs of Daman & Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep, it is given to the candidates belonging to Goa.
