Established in 1842, Goa Medical College is one of the oldest Medical Colleges, not only in India but also in entire Asia.

The original name of Goa Medical College was Escola Medico Cicurgica da Goa and it’s name was changed to the present name in 1963.

The Medical College is recognized by Medical Council of India for both MBBS (150 seats) & PG program (86 seats).

Admissions to Goa Medical College are through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the 1st week of the month of May every year.

The college offers a good learning environment and has an excellent track record.
