Hi Akshay,

There are two options, either you join an MBA course just after your graduation or you gain some industry experience or work experience before joining the course.

Though there is no disadvantage in terms of opportunities and understanding of the course in either of the two options but if you have an prior work expirience you may understand the course in a better way and some companies give priority to expirienced candidates.

If you are planning to do it just after your graduation that is also fine. You should select an MBA specialization as per your interest in marketing, finance, HR, Operations, Strategy, IT Analytics etc. You can also join an general management program and Study all of these in your first year and then choose your specialisation in the second year.

You should prepare to the best of your abilities and score a good percentile to join a good B School for better exposure, learning opportunities and placements

All the best!
