placements in jist jorhat is not so good but not so bad also its average not every one got the placemnets there only the capable students with maximum score get the job from the college but with the low stipend. so accordingly the placemnets there is not so good. all the best have a great future ahead.

The placement scenerio at jorhat institute of science and technology is bad and thats the bitter truth. Thanks to poor infrastructure due to lack of proper fund( actually it is under society mood ) ,no auditorium, no separate t&p house,poor lab facilities and many more problems that we are facing.As most companies donot visit new college ,so here on campus record is not good.Out of 120 students( now 240) approximately 30–35 students gets placed in companies like wipro,capegemini,infyosis ,Fci,xaloni etc.

Hey! Placements are not so good but yes some of the people start working on different startups. Maybe of their own or of somebody else's. 

Recruitment by major companies is very less. Approximately 20-30% of students get placed.

Aa per my knowledge, JIST Assam does  not have very good placements, yes companies like Wipro, TCS and Infosys do come here which is a very good sign, but majority of students remain unplaced here.

But I would suggest, that you may opt for some different college.
