Placements in the college are quite satisfactory which makes the college a good choice for electrical engineering. The average rate of placements is almost 70% for the last five years. Mainly TCS (Tata Consultancy Service) visit the campus for offering jobs to students. Many reputed companies like Wipro, Genpact, etc., and some consultancy companies also visited here for offering jobs to the students last year.

Techno india Salt Lake campus is very good but for computer science, Electronics and IT only. For the core branches companies do visit but their numbers are too less. Most of the electrical engineering students go for a job in IT industry during placements. Moreover none of the colleges under WBUT provide very good placements in core Engineering sectors. But if you are comfortable with IT industry or you perform extremely well you can get your preferred job.
