Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) recruit candidates through GATE exam.

Candidates are selected for recruitment on the basis of their GATE score. Selected candidates may be called for GD/GT or Personal Interview.

Eligible candidates with valid GATE score and from the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics & Telecommunication, Chemical and Instrumentation are then shortlisted for recruitment.

Selected candidates have to undergo one year training, which is mandatory and after successful completion of training they are recruited as Officers in grade A.
