UIAMS was started by the Punjab University for MBA in 2009. The admissions to UIAMS are granted on the basis of an applicant's score in PU UIAMS MET, which is the Institution's own entrance examination.

The faculties of this Institute are on the same level as UBS as far as curriculum and academics is concerned. Moreover, the infrastructure is excellent with wifi services as well as a library for students. Canteen Services, medical services for students, air conditioned class rooms and such add to the infrastructural value of the Institution.

However, in terms of placements, the Institution is yet to contend with some of the best Universities around. UBS offers better placements, suggest personal reviews. The average annual package is around 4L INR while the highest packages offered are around 7L INR.

Also, the fee structures are around 5.05L INR.
