SPEC is  a  Special Channel of Admission of B.Tech courses. It is aimed at identifying students with extraordinary talent and merit. Now IIIT Hyderabad have two streams- CSE(Computer Science Engineering) and ECE(Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering). In SPEC, ten seats are allotted each to CSE and ECE.
