Approximately 13 lakh students will apply for jee mains each year. But only around 11 lakh people will actually sit for the exam.

About 12-13 lacs candidates take JEE main and this year some 2Lac 20K candidates will be allowed to take JEEADV 2018.

Every year in the range of 10 lakhs to 13 lakhs, students give JEE MAIN exam.

JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted for admissions to UG engineering programmes into 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 CFTIs. Every year, over 12 lakh candidates appear in the exam. This year, as many as 11,48,000 candidates have registered for JEE Main 2018, which is 50,989 less than last year.

Approximately 12lac students appeared last year for JEE Main, out of which 72% students wsre Male and rest were females as 27%.
As respect to JEE advanced, around 2.24 lakh students qualified from JEE Main marks.

Jee Mains is restricted fir NIts and IIITs, whereas jee advanced is for IIT s.
