Dear Aspirant,
JEE Mains is one of the difficult entrance examinations and hence it takes atleast a year or two to prepare for it.
The syllabus is the entirety of class 11 and class 12 hence you will have to start preparing from day 1 of your class 11 in school.
1. You will have to understand each and every concept in depth from day 1. Then you'll have to practice the questions relating to the concepts.
2. The level of the question is hard so you need to put in a lot of time to get used to solving sucj questions.
3. One need practice to be able to do the questions in time and it takes years of practice to get to that level.

4. The syllabus is vast , and hence you will need two years to cover the full syllabus thoroughly.
There are a lot of crash courses to help you crack JEE in a few months. These courses are strategically designed and hence counts on your pre requisite knowledge to do so. You can crack JEE mains with a few months of practice but to Ace it you need atleast 2 years of rigorous practice.
