It's not only that you are studying for hours it's your efforts and for how much time you are properly studying.
Generally with proper effectiveness you should devote atleast 9-10 hours daily for the studies.
And you should do 2-3 hours constant study ( means do not study for small small period of time).
And after this you can increase your time depending upon your classes and other works.
But whatever you do do it with full dedication and concentration. Don't just try to count number of hours in a day you have study .
And at this time you should keep your mind and health good remove the negative thoughts and this last days studies will show the effect in your exam .
So I suggest to keep your mind and body calm don't get frustrate about syllabus and results of the practice exams.
In exam also don't  overthink and try to avoid the situation in which you will find yourself in tricy or difficult situation.
So good luck

Hello Dipak,

Jee mains is a very popular exam which is attempted by various students every year for getting admission in top IITs colleges.

Well, there is no certain hours for every students for studing the subjects for this exam. Preparation of this or any other exam totally depends on the capability, understandability or  individual. One may take less time in understanding and learning whereas other person may take more time for understanding and learning the same topic.

Prepration of individual differ from person to person. A very bright student may not required to study for 12 to 16 hours per day on the other hand students with average marks required to work hard and may have to stidy for more than 10 hours per day.

So, you are the only person who can understand owns strength and weakness and accordingly you should make your schedule which should also include your resting time apart from study time. For scoring good marks you should at least study 6 to 8 hours but you should also analysis yourself and try to make proper plan for jee mains prepration.

All the very best. Hope this will help you.

Thank you

Hello Dipak...

Thanks for contacting Careers360...

Okay,, so you were asking about how many hours a person have to study  jee main. you know some people use to study about 12 hours a day , some use to study 4 hours a day .And you know i have lots of examples of such students who used to study 4 to 5 hours a day and secured a better rank than that who studies 12 hours per day..

you know the reason why ,, because studying more hours is not the correct way to success…and specially if you are asking about jee mains ,, then i don’t know what is the reason for asking this..

studying about 5 hrs is more than enough to achieve a good rank in jee mains, and my average hours of studying while the time of preparation was 6–7 hours a day ,, what you have to do is to , mug up all inorganic chem by making its short notes and revise it timely , under stand all mechanism in organic chem,, and for physical you have to do practice,,

and for phy and maths , i think solving previous year question is the best way to gain confidence..

All the best:)
