Hello,

For admission to MBBS in private colleges, a "donation" is paid under the management quota, where a minimum NEET score of just qualifying marks (e.g., 160-170 marks are required for the general category, or a minimum of the 40th percentile) is required, rather than a high score.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hey! For admission in private MBBS colleges through donation seats, there is no fixed cutoff. It mainly depends on the college, state, and category. However, even for donation seats, qualifying NEET is compulsory. Generally, having around 500+ marks is considered safe, but in some colleges, admission may be possible with lower marks if the donation amount is high.

For admission to MBBS in private colleges through donation or management quota, there is still a minimum eligibility requirement as per the National Medical Commission (NMC). A student must qualify in NEET UG by scoring at least the cutoff percentile, which is 50th percentile for general category, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC, and 45th percentile for PwD candidates. In terms of marks, this usually comes to around 115–130 marks for reserved categories and 135–150 marks for general category, though it varies slightly every year depending on the exam difficulty. Once a student qualifies NEET, private colleges can grant admission under management or NRI quota with donation fees, but the amount of donation differs widely by college and state. So, even if you are seeking admission under donation, clearing the NEET cutoff is mandatory.
