See, there is no authentic data that will help in deciding the average marks of candidates who clear jee mains and further go on to clear jee advance and especially after introduction of percentile system.Although we cannot deny that top scorers in JEE advance are usually the candidates who perform extraordinarily in JEE mains, like there is no denial that jee mains becomes cakewalk for them but yes they put years and days and hours of extraordinary efforts to become that good.
But there are candidates who get average marks in JEE mains byt go and to score well in advance and eventually make it to the IITs.
What i would suggest you is that you should not focus on these statistics and instead you should give your level best and extraordinary efforts so that you become capable of cracking the Jee mains and advance.

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on questions difficulty level, seat matrix, number of participants etc, however as far jee main january session , students reviews of the papers, candidates who got more than 85 percentile in jee main exam has decent chances to qualify for jee advance exam.
