Dear Varshita,

You will have to get a rank somewhere below 10000 to get ECE in any of the IITs.

With 10,000 general rank your EWS rank will be around 1100 so you can target an EWS rank around 1k for your safety.

For example if we talk about the previous year cutoff for ECE branch in a lower  mid level IIT then it was around 1050 EWS rank.
